Proximity Smart Key (Push-Button Start)
FCC ID: TQ8-FOB-4F16A proximity ("Smart Key") communicates with the vehicle using a low-frequency proximity system plus a radio transmitter, allowing lock/unlock and starting the car with the key in a pocket or bag. On 2024 Elantra trims equipped with push-button start, this is the most common key type. The mechanical emergency key blade inside the fob is typically used for the driver door if the fob battery is dead.
