Programming
🏢 Dealer RequiredProgramming typically requires a diagnostic tool capable of Hyundai immobilizer/smart key registration and usually proof of ownership. Some vehicles require all existing keys to be present during programming; if all keys are lost, additional steps (and towing in some cases) may be required. The emergency key blade may need cutting to match your door lock.
⚠️ Common Issues
- Wrong fob purchased due to mismatched FCC ID/part number or frequency
- Aftermarket shell swaps that move the circuit board but leave a poorly cut or incompatible emergency key
- Intermittent detection due to weak CR2032 battery or fob water damage
